Etihad reports $368M profit for the first nine months of 2024, up by 66%

Etihad Airways has announced its latest financial results for the nine months ending on September 30, 2024. The headlines of the results show that the Abu Dhabi-based carrier achieved a profit after tax of AED 1.4 billion ($368 million), a number that represents a significant increase of 66%, up from AED 814 million ($222 million) during the same period in 2023.

Modernized Fleet Program: Wheels Up Closes On Over $300 Million In Financing

The company also announced that it closed on the acquisition of GrandView Aviation's fleet of light aircraft. Flair becomes first Canadian airline to offer passengers on-time guarantee

Edmonton-based carrier Flair Airlines has introduced a new On-Time Guarantee (OTG) scheme becoming the first airline in Canada to do so. The scheme offers passengers compensation should their Flair service be delayed by more than 60 minutes. In a bold move previously unseen in the Canadian domestic air travel market, the low-cost carrier says it is “raising the bar” with the introduction of the new program, through which it hopes to attract passengers away from less punctual competitors.

Iberia operated the first revenue service across the Atlantic using its new Airbus A321XLR aircraft on November 14, 2024. Iberia flight IB347 departed Madrid-Barajas (MAD) at 13.00 local time bound for Boston-Logan (BOS), where it is expected to land at around 14.15 local time. Spanish flag carrier @Iberia is the first airline in the world to fly the @Airbus A321XLR.
