Everyone onboard a recent Ryanair flight was forced to evacuate when the cabin crew noticed fire emanating from one of the aircraft’s two engines as it began its take-off roll at an airport in Italy. All passengers and crew made it off the aircraft safely with no apparent injuries, having exited using the emergency slides.

The approach to Sioux City With the aircraft at a range of about nine miles from touchdown at Sioux City, the crew made visual contact with the airport. The Captain made his announcement and gave us update on the weather on route and for the announcments by the cabin crew, it was done in 5 languages including the Taiwanese dialect. One of the cabin crew was waiting to assist any passengers that requires assistance. This is the second cabin of the economy class.

This time, both of the engines were started after pushed back so no PTU (Power Transfer Unit) - 'barking' noise was heard during our taxi to the runway. It took a while before the seatbelt sign was turned off and the crew started preparing for in-flight service. The 2 hours flight in this cabin was certainly comfortable.

Once on board, I noticed a cabin crew was serving champagne on a plastic cup and was pleasantly surprised I was given one, I suppose because of the occasion (New Year's Day).
