The approach to Sioux City With the aircraft at a range of about nine miles from touchdown at Sioux City, the crew made visual contact with the airport. Fitch later told investigators that he thought the airplane was “fairly well aligned with the runway during the latter stages of the approach and that they would reach the runway”.

This time, both of the engines were started after pushed back so no PTU (Power Transfer Unit) - 'barking' noise was heard during our taxi to the runway. It took a while before the seatbelt sign was turned off and the crew started preparing for in-flight service. The 2 hours flight in this cabin was certainly comfortable.

Once on board, I noticed a cabin crew was serving champagne on a plastic cup and was pleasantly surprised I was given one, I suppose because of the occasion (New Year's Day). Window shot photos After pushed back, we took about 15 minutes to reach the runway. Finally we reached the threshold and we were on our way.

The airport mayhave 2 runways (runway 14/32 and runway 09/27) but only one runway is in operation (09/27) and if this runway is in maintenance, the other runway will be in used. My Flight Experience After boarding the aircraft, I took a few photos of the cabin before settling down.
