We made an IFR departure that morning on runway 16 and climbed above the ceiling in short order. At one point, we entered a region of sufficient turbulence that I disengaged the autopilot to hand-fly. We broke out right at the missed approach point which is much too high and close to the runway threshold to make a normal landing.
