Uplinked radar indicated liquid precipitation in the cloud, but the outside air temperature (OAT) was several degrees above freezing (higher than forecast) and so did not cause me any significant concern. Warrior 481 did not have an outside air temperature (OAT) gauge when bought I her in 2004. The offending cloud layer concealed rain.

An autopilot and Aspen primary flight display reduce workload on long flights. Since I filed an IFR flight plan, I requested the Flagstaff One SID. After takeoff, the SID directs the pilot to fly south to the OATES intersection near Sedona, AZ. We did both!
