The formula for Density altitude is pressure altitude + [120 x (OAT - ISA)]. Standard temperature is 15 degrees celsius. Temperature and density are inversely proportional; as temperature increases air density decreases. Using the pressure altitude calculated above, this is what it would look like if it was 30 degrees celsius.

After takeoff, the SID directs the pilot to fly south to the OATES intersection near Sedona, AZ. When reaching OATES at 10,500 feet or higher, the aircraft can safely turn any direction and continue climbing on course. When we reached the OATES intersection, I pointed the Six toward Winslow. We did both!
