The Pitot-Static System: How It Works

If you’re in a modern, fancy airplane with glass primary flight displays instead of round dials, then it uses something called an Air Data Computer to show these readings. During takeoff, the Pilot Not Flying (PNF) calls out airspeed, usually at 80 knots, and the Pilot Flying (PF) verifies it matches their ASI.
