On top of that, weather conditions in Tampa weren’t great that day, with rain and strong gusts, so it was a tricky approach.

For whatever reason, during its takeoff roll, the jet took up the entire length of the runway, and only rotated meters before the end of the runway. The video footage is pretty dramatic, as you can see that the jet takes off at the “piano keys.” This runway is 6,173 feet (or 1,883 meters) long. What could cause an incident like this?

My guess is that these were gate checked bags, since they all seem to be carry-on size, and they’re coming from the jet bridge. That’s the baggage handling hero we need.
