To find True Airspeed (TAS), youll need to account for these effects. The atmospheric, or static pressure, varies with altitude and weather. The altimeter uses the input from the static port to determine the altitude. If not adjusted, altitude readings may be inaccurate, risking collisions or terrain hazards.
