Stalling with a high-power setting takes more effort since there is thrust and a high-energy slipstream from the propeller, which prevents boundary layer separation. Post-accident assessment of the aircraft revealed substantial damage to the auxiliary power unit (APU) firewall bulkhead, resulting from the aircrafts aft fuselages contact with the runway surface. The left winglet of one of the aircraft collided with the right horizontal stabilizer and elevator of the other.
