FAA certifies Embraer’s E-190 passenger-to-freight conversion

On October 10, 2024, Embraer announced that its E190F E-Freighter, the Passenger-to-Freight (P2F) conversion of its popular E-190 airliner, has now been certified by the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Pilots aboard a Frontier Airlines Airbus A321-200 declared a midair emergency after smoke was detected on the aircraft by the flight crew.
