The European Commission has launched a detailed investigation into the €321.2 million restructuring aid granted by Germany to the German charter airline Condor to assess its compliance with EU State aid rules. This aid was initially approved in July 2021 according to the EU’s State aid Rescue and Restructuring Guidelines. However, the approval was overturned by the General Court on May 8, 2024.

An easyJet pilot was taken to the hospital after fainting during a flight from London to Lisbon. The incident happened on July 27, 2024, on an easyJet Airbus A320-200 aircraft carrying 193 passengers. The first officer felt unwell after departing London Luton Airport (LTN) at 07:35 local time and was hospitalized immediately after landing at the General Humberto Delgado Airport (LIS) in Lisbon, Portugal, at 10:10 local time.
