Austrian Airlines' CEO Annette Mann told both ch-aviation and Aviation Week that the carrier is searching for a replacement aircraft type for its Airbus A320 family fleet. The comments came at this month's IATA General Assembly in Dubai, a meeting that brings together important industry stakeholders.

Two people were killed in the crash of Lockheed 12A Electra Junior near Chino Airport in California on Saturday. The aircraft crashed just outside the fence and caught fire. Details on the circumstances of the accident were limited in the first hours afterward and will be updated as they come available. The plane was identified on some sites as N93R, which is registered to the Yanks Air Museum at the Chino Airport.

As far as US airlines go, American is in the unique position of having co-branded credit cards with two issuers. This came after the merger of American and US Airways, as American’s credit cards were issued by Citi, while US Airways’ credit cards were issued by Barclays. American made the decision to have a non-exclusive co-brand agreement, thinking that would maximize profits.

With so many Asian carriers launching or resuming routes they abandoned during the pandemic, it's hard to believe that just a few years ago, Singapore Changi Airport handled just 1.1 million passengers for the year. This morning, it was the turn of Jetstar Asia to return its service between Singapore and Clark in the Philippines, a route it suspended in March 2022.

However, this is not practiced due to safety issues, including potential hazards and injuries to ground personnel, damage to the building, noise, and extensive emissions. Advanced Air mobility Archer has managed to complete the first transition flight of the Midnight eVTOL (it had already achieved this feat some time ago with its smaller demonstrator model) and has posted a cool video of the process. New generations of aircraft replace older generations. The busiest airport serving European destinations is New York's JFK International Airport, which has 112-126 daily departures to Europe. Not all transatlantic flights have widebody aircraft; for example, there will be 25 narrowbody Boeing 737 transatlantic routes this summer.

New video from Sam Chui: Join me on a Boeing 747 Hajj Flight from Indonesia to Saudi Arabia. Definitely an experience to remember for my whole life! The journey started at Soekarno-Hatta Int’l Airport in Jakarta. 450 pilgrims checked in outside the airport and came directly to the airside waiting to board the Boeing 747. I recently had the chance to travel to Chisinau, the capital of Moldova, to attend the 2024 Aviation-Event , a conference focused on the state and perspectives of the commercial aviation industry in that part of Europe. This edition of Aviation-Event was hosted by Chisinau international airport and, actually, Moldova is quite an interesting case study of a country that I’d say punches above its weight when it comes to commercial aviation.
