Uganda's government, led by President Yoweri Museveni, has reportedly struck a deal with Boeing to acquire up to four aircraft for the national carrier Uganda Airlines. The deal, which includes two freighters and two passenger aircraft, would see the carrier expand its operations but with a fleet of several different aircraft types.

LATAM Airways has unveiled plans for a new economy cabin design aboard the carrier’s Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft. LATAM made the announcement on April 30, 2024, indicating that certain subsidiaries of the airline group would begin operating Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners with their economy cabin “completely renovated”. LATAM said each retrofit would cost the airline $15 million per aircraft with four 787-9s scheduled to receive the makeover in 2024.

In a bid to relax its uniform and contribute to employee well-being the Dutch airline KLM has given the go-ahead for pilots and cabin crew to wear sneakers. The updated uniform follows a successful trial held over the last year where staff responded positively to the change during feedback. KLM confirmed that from May 6, 2024, staff will be allowed to “wear sneakers under their uniform” to help promote comfort during work and support well-being.

A presentation of the significance of the Douglas TBD-1 Devastator torpedo bombers, a unique Grumman Wildcat F4F-3 fighter, and the famous men who flew these aircraft. The USS Lexington, affectionately known as “Lady Lex” by her crew, met an illustrious fate during the Battle of the Coral Sea, a pivotal moment in naval history.

The Seattle Times is reporting Josh Dean, 45, a former quality control inspector at 737 MAX fuselage supplier Spirit Aerosystems in Wichita, died from an infection by an agressive antibiotic-resistant bacteria called Methicillin-Resistant Staphyulococcus Aureus, or MRSA.

After years of development and testing, Boeing recently revealed that it has virtually validated software for Future Manned Unmanned Refueling Missions using a simulator lab. According to Boeing, the results show that the communication time between F/A-18 pilots and unmanned MQ-25 Stringrays has been significantly reduced during refueling. This comes after the Marine Corps demonstrated the ability to refuel a CH-53K King Stallion helicopter while it was carrying a stripped-down F-35 fighter jet.

Bombardier revealed that the buyer was NetJets, one of the largest private jet charter companies in the world. NetJets is also owned and operated by Warren Buffet-owned Berkshire Hathaway.
