While the issue arose due to IT outages with Microsoft and CrowdStrike, ultimately the scale of the meltdown came down to Delta’s crew scheduling software being unable to cope, and breaking down.

(GAMI) says the gunk that smeared the underside of the left wing of the AOPA Beech Baron fuel test bed aircraft at AirVenture originated with a leaky patch in the 50-year-old bladder in the tank. In a report prepared by GAMI, the company said the mechanics that removed all four bladders from the Baron found the leak in an old patch on the ancient bladder which has been used to hold G100UL for the past nine months.

It Takes Two to Tandem! Mackinac Island is known broadly for two things and the fort described in the previous post, while very interesting, is not necessarily one of them. The first thing is fudge. Fudge shops line Mackinac's Lake Shore Drive and are always thronged with tourists. Because of this, locals refer to island visitors as "fudgies". I do not believe that it is intended as a term of endearment.
