United has been doing an impressive job upgrading its cabins on narrowbodyaircraft, and it was nice to finally experience that. United map feature 737 MAX We had a smooth descent, and touched down in Miami at 9:40PM, as predicted. Ive gotta say, the sum of the changes makes for a nicely improved product.
Gone were the days when Singapore Airlines operated wide-body on popular cities such as Penang and Phuket with the Boeing 777-200 (Non-ER rated) and now the airline is operating the smaller narrow-bodyaircraft which allows more flexibility and adjustment of the frequency or up-gauge the aircraft on the routes when is needed.
At least when we started our descent, the weather was much better, descending and landing in smooth condition. Hot air rises, cold air sinks) The 2-2 business class seats is a definite welcome to all narrow-bodyaircraft especially for a 5-hour flight like mine, the lie-flat bed function is certainly welcoming.
As far as I know the A321neo-LR is the only narrow-bodyaircraft in TAP's fleet that has seatback screens in both Economy and Business Class. My entertainment on this flight was enjoying the view outside and chatting with my partner, fortunately time went past quickly and we were on our descent.
Finally before started our descent, our female Captain came on and updated us on our arrival and weather update and with a prediction of light turbulence during our approach. At this point, we started our descent into LHR airport. However, I like the stylish crew's uniform and the cabin interior of both aircraft I flew on.
