A LATAM jet departing Italy for Brazil suffered a tail strike on takeoff, in what can only be described as a rather strange incident, as reported by The Aviation Herald. However, while rotating, the jet struck its tail on the runway. Flight performed a fuel dump and landed safely at 12:50 UTC on runway 35R.
