We departed from Sodus VFR, picked up our IFR clearances in the air, and proceeded direct to St Clair County Airport (KPHN) just on the Michigan side of the border with Canada. Tom was clearly concerned about the same thing and asked Selfridge Approach for a diversion to Tuscola Area Airport (KCFS) in Caro, MI.
