Touching down with the aircraft’s longitudinal axis aligned with the runway. We use the rudder to align the aircraft’s longitudinal axis with the centerline. However, the obstacles generate mechanical turbulence, making the air less stable. We call this de-crabbing. Be prepared for gusts!
