I checked the weather by phone and was assured it would be great CAVU (ceiling and visibility unlimited) with 2-3-knot winds from 090 degrees. Turning final, I set up myself with what is now my runway. About 5 miles out, I contacted Lawson Tower, which cleared me for a straight-in to Runway 15. It was time to turn base.

It could carry a crew of two and four passengers at a cruise speed of 175 knots, or about 200 mph, at a service ceiling of more than 19,000 feet. In short order we were accelerating down the runway, ascending into the cerulean sky, climbing over the city, and being treated to a breathtaking view of the expansive ocean to the west.

As the graphs obtained directly from the watches suggest, prior to any flight, there is a rise in the heart rate above the underlying “resting” threshold. The more challenging the flight conditions–low ceilings, rain, crosswinds, high density, etc–the higher the anxiety level. Results from a crosswind landing.

Currently the airport has 2 terminals with a 3rd starting operation in the near future, it has an impressive 5 runways (runway 17L/35R, 17R/35L, 16L/34R, 16R/34L and 15/33). Personally I don't like the "spikes" attached to the ceiling. At this point, we started rolling down the runway. One of the airline's check-in area.

Moments after climbing through the ceiling over Beverly, MA. We made an IFR departure that morning on runway 16 and climbed above the ceiling in short order. Approaching the Green Mountains of Vermont, the ceiling began to close back up. This meant that there would be no getting into Sodus unless the ceiling lifted.

The airport mayhave 2 runways (runway 14/32 and runway 09/27) but only one runway is in operation (09/27) and if this runway is in maintenance, the other runway will be in used. Departure Hall (Landside) The design of the ceiling caught my attention. I can imagine how nice it is at night.
