The view of the tarmac is absolutely breathtaking and you have full view of both the landing and departure of the aircraft. However, do note that the observation deck can be closed due to bad weather. My ride: JA73NT To be able to enjoy such good weather like this during my time in Japan was a blessing.

The weather was not good that day. The airport tarmac, traffic was very light at that time. Greeted by the not-so-friendly crew, I made my way to the seat with about 90% of the seats taken. I checked the weather radar and fortunately for us, the weather was good until evening time. What's inside the seat pocket?

This side of the terminal offers view of the tarmac and if you go up to the food court, you are able to do some photography over there. After getting up from my seat, I followed the cabin crew who led me to my new assigned seat and to my relief it was a window seat. One thing I won't miss is the dreadful weather.

Cactus Garden allows aviation geeks to view some aircraft at the tarmac. The cabin crew generally was nice and I interacted with one asking her what she thinks about this aircraft and from her response she wasn't enthusiastic about working on it and I can understand why. Just took off in this dreadful weather.

Flying on New Year's Day With A New Airline from Frankfurt to Athens!

What I like about the interior of the terminals at this airport is they offer good view of the tarmac which allow great opportunity to take good photos of the aircraft. Once on board, I noticed a cabin crew was serving champagne on a plastic cup and was pleasantly surprised I was given one, I suppose because of the occasion (New Year's Day).
