There were two flight crew, two cabin crew, and 58 passengers on board when the aircraft, an ATR 72-212A (ATR 72-500) departed Coronel Adalberto Mendes da Silva Airport in Cascavel. The weather was overcast for the flight route, with cloud tops reaching temperatures forecast from 0° to -35°C (32° to -31°F).

As seen from the aircrafts tail, the vortex rotates in the anti-clockwise direction on the right wingtip and the clockwise direction on the left wingtip. There have been numerous incidents of passengers and cabin crew suffering injuries ranging from mild to severe after their aircraft bounced around after getting caught in someone elses wake.

The aircraft was flying with the help of the tail wind that's why the flight is shorter than the flight back to Taipei Songshan. The Captain made his announcement and gave us update on the weather on route and for the announcments by the cabin crew, it was done in 5 languages including the Taiwanese dialect.

The tail livery is certainly very attractive. By then the aircraft started its descent when the cabin crew were released from their seats.

When we reached our aircraft, we were the first batch to board so that gave me a chance to explore the cabin. Anyway, once I settled down, the cabin crew came to distribute the menu and also an amenity kit. Once all the passengers settled down and the crew completed the pre-departure checklists, we were on our way.

The weather was cooling and it was a great day for walk. Once that was cleared, the cabin crew were released for duty. Like my previous flights, a set of crew would come around with a camera offering complimentary polaroid photos for the passengers and not surprisingly, they went past me. The weather looks great right?
