In addition, the airport has 2 runways, runway 10/28 and 16/34 and operates 2 terminals. For business class, they take up the first front rows of the cabin with the middle seat blocked and have a better legroom space of 32 inches. With a minute ahead of schedule, we pushed back and made our way to the departure runway.

Anyway, once I settled down, the cabin crew came to distribute the menu and also an amenity kit. Our taxi to the runway didn't take long. My last trip to Shanghai was with Thai Airways Airbus A330-300 from PVG to BKK and that was more than 15 years ago.

This time, both of the engines were started after pushed back so no PTU (Power Transfer Unit) - 'barking' noise was heard during our taxi to the runway. It took a while before the seatbelt sign was turned off and the crew started preparing for in-flight service. The 2 hours flight in this cabin was certainly comfortable.

Overall I was satisfied with the flight, the cabin crew were nice and the comfortable cabin that comes with individual IFE Screen and complimentary Wifi which the Boeing 737-800 cabin do not have. Looking around the cabin, I noticed this set of cabin crew looked stress and I can understand as they were kept quite busy on this almost full flight. After the engines were stabilised, we taxied to runway 20C. Finally runway 20C/02C was opened that means less taxing for the flights in and out of Singapore.
