NTSB Fitch continued to make small manipulations of the engine controls as the aircraft crossed the runway threshold, still maintaining a straight and level attitude but at a landing speed much higher than normal. Touchdown At 16:00 the airplane touched down on the runway threshold to the left of the centerline.
