I also secured hangar space for the week to the tune of $75 a night. I launched from runway three-two and pointed for the Snow Hill VOR. I already had set up for Patuxent approach so I switched from CTAF to Pax to pick up my clearance. Once south of Myrtle Beach I was turned direct Charleston VOR.

As we approached Barrett’s Mountain VOR you could make out the mountains ahead. The whole process has become second nature.
