Chapter 3 in the AIM has details on dimensions of airspace, cloud clearances, and visibility. Before your check ride, find the most recent inspections and put a Post-it note on them so you can easily find them to show the examiner. The VFR sectional has a legend, so you don’t have to guess at what kind of airspace that is.
