What is ground effect? Ground effect is most likely to result in which problem? Determine the pressure altitude at an airport that is 1,300 feet MSL with an altimeter setting of 29.6. Among the performance elements are takeoff and landing distances, rate of climb, ceiling, speed, payload, and fuel economy.

On approach, the captain made a mayday alert, declaring bird strike, bird strike. This was done early in the program (737-100/200) because it was discovered the 737 was prone to float in ground effect enough that it could prevent WoW from going true after touchdown – same with wheel speed.
