Coming just a few days after Nuuk Airport (GOH) in Greenland opened a new passenger terminal, the facility has now cut the ribbon on its new 2,200m (7,216ft) tarmac runway. The opening of the new runway at Nuuk comes as the second phase of investment in Greenland’s aviation infrastructure comes to fruition.

For now, Firefly is the only airline that operates at this airport but I suspect once Scoot starts operating the ERJ-190 E2, we might see them flying out of this airport, giving Firefly some competition. About Firefly Firefly is a subsidiary of Malaysia Airlines set up in March 2007 and started commercial flights a month later.

Runways, taxiways, and tarmac are in good condition. With a 10,000-foot runway, EGSS can accommodate aircraft up to business/VIP, configured up to and including a B747-800. This year, these slots are being withdrawn to accommodate airline traffic that extends into the night. Additionally, EGSS has a 10,000 ft.

Nevertheless, I am excited to fly on another varient of the E2 series, this would be my 60th airline type in my flight logbook. It's nice to see some other airlines such as TransNasu added China's Comac aircraft, the C909 (formerly known as the ARJ-21) to its fleet so there is something to look forward to.

Congratulations to the airline! Introduction When this airline first came out into the aviation world, I kept misreading it as Alaska Air, anyone else has this issue? Today (July 2024), the airline has a massive fleet of twenty-three 737 MAX 8 with one 737 MAX-8200 in operation (197-seater, higher capacity aircraft).

A Boeing 747 freighter aborted its takeoff run at Riyadh Airport after realizing it was taking off from a taxiway instead of its assigned runway. Data from Flightradar24 shows that the aircraft taxied from the cargo apron located at the northwestern end of the airfield at 00:28 before taxying down to the taxiway leading to runway 33R.
