It's not everyday you have a new airline and from a hindsight, I should flown with this airline at the start of its operation but whatever it is the end of the airline's operation happened and from the public's point of view, it was shocking. After a while, I gave up, I decided to book with Air Asia instead.

On the 9th of August 2023, a VX4 crashed at Cotswold Airport in Gloucestershire during a test flight over the runway. They already have orders for up to 1,000 aircraft, with customers including American Airlines, Virgin Atlantic and AirAsia. Then the pilot carefully climbed to 30 feet above the runway.

Currently ANA (Not the airline) Aeroportos de Portugal is responsible for the airport and so far it has expanded the airport by building a second terminal which is used exclusively for low cost carriers. The airline offered lounge access and gave us a chance to upgrade to business class but it was an easy decision to skip them.

As I taxied off the runway, Moe greeted me on Unicom and directed me to a parking spot. I departed runway 33 after double checking that I was broadcasting the correct transponder code.

On downwind, ATC had me at 3,000 feet going over the departure end of the crossing runway. I could see that the spot on the ground in the windshield that was not moving was short of the runway. This meant that I could land normally on the runway, not overshoot, and did not need to be concerned with the airliners on the crossing runway.

M ost difficult experience has been taxiing when visibility for runways is down to 150 m or less. I’d venture to say that few aircraft out there can cruise at 350 kts, and operate safely out of the 2500-ft runway at WKR, which has had its share of landing mishaps.
