An Austrian Airlines Airbus A320-200 aircraft sustained severe damage during a hailstorm on its approach to Vienna Airport (VIE). The aircraft, operating flight OS434 from Palma de Mallorca (PMI), was about to land in Vienna on June 9, 2024, when it traversed a supercell, an area of extremely active thunderstorms and turbulence.
