Currently the airport has 2 terminals with a 3rd starting operation in the near future, it has an impressive 5 runways (runway 17L/35R, 17R/35L, 16L/34R, 16R/34L and 15/33). Vistara's flight code, UK will no longer exist and so will the airline's website which would direct passengers to Air India's website for booking and redemption. Currently ANA (Not the airline) Aeroportos de Portugal is responsible for the airport and so far it has expanded the airport by building a second terminal which is used exclusively for low cost carriers. The airline offered lounge access and gave us a chance to upgrade to business class but it was an easy decision to skip them.

We come from the northwest, and fly over the airport before joining the righthand circuit of runway 02. Cleared to land!

I had an easy out available to me: a descent of 1000 feet would bring me out of the clouds with plenty of altitude to spare above the terrain. As I taxied off the runway, Moe greeted me on Unicom and directed me to a parking spot. I departed runway 33 after double checking that I was broadcasting the correct transponder code.

He told me we were initially directed to divert to Portland, then Vancouver, British Columbia after they closed the airspace, but since our airline was not serving Vancouver, we would have no company support when we arrived. They’re probably not getting any information from the airline on our status or where we are.
