Volunteer Air Traffic Control Because of its unique geometry, the Alton Bay Ice Runway requires careful coordination on the ground to avoid conflicts. hours in actual instrument meteorological conditions (IMC). I countered with aggressive right rudder and barely succeeded in keeping the plane on the runway.
