A Delta Air Lines Boeing 767 en route from New York to Paris was forced to make an emergency descent following cabin pressurization issues. The aircraft managed to land safely in Paris despite its rapid descent from 34,000 ft to just 10,000ft in eleven minutes.

I’ve been intrigued by the photographs being passed around of the Austrian Airlines Airbus A320 that flew into a hailstorm. Austrian Airlines, a subsidiary of Lufthansa, is the flag carrier of Austria. The flight seemed routine until the flight crew started the final descent from 34,000 feet.

A few days ago (21st of May 2024), Singapore Airlines flight SQ321 encountered heavy turbulence on a passenger flight from London-Heathrow to Singapore. Joe was just short of celebrating his 50th anniversary as an employee of Hawaiian Airlines when he was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer. He asked to be taken home to Kona on his own airline, but the only aircraft available was one of our 304 seat Trans-Pacific DC-10s. But this was Hawaii, and we not the usual airline.
