This allows the airspeed to slowly dissipate while the airplane is flown just above the surface in ground effect. When the wheels first touch the ground, the proper technique allows the wings to continue supporting much of the weight of the airplane.

Trim for level flight once you’re stabilized at your target speed. To fight this overbanking tendency, add light aileron pressure in the opposite direction. Not Maintaining Heading Once you’ve practiced slow flight a few times, you’ll realize just how ineffective the ailerons are. Stay coordinated throughout the turn.
