Your aircraft will fly at a faster true airspeed at higher density altitudes. If it prevents you from landing close to the threshold, a short runway becomes even shorter. x V SO (or POH recommendation) by around 500 feet AGL. In this region of reversed command, use power to control altitude and pitch to control airspeed.
