Before RNAV, pilots had to rely on radios (NAVAIDs) and antennas on the ground such as VORs (Very High-Frequency Omnidirectional Range) and NDBs (Non-Directional Beacons). Theyre pretty much the same thing, but heres the difference: DH is measured above the ground (AGL). DA is measured above sea level (MSL). So, why is LPV so accurate?
